(yoo-bik-wi-tubs): Something that is (or seems to be) everywhere at the same time.

This text offers a multi-genre approach to poetry, in that poetry does not alway have to be about the human heart and emotion. In can be informative and scientific. It can explore a complicated subject like evolution in a graceful and lyrical manner. Ubiquitous offers this alternative side of poetry.

Ubiquitous allows teachers to integrate poetry into a science lesson. The different types of poems within the book extend from conrete poem to prose. There are multiple examples of different rhyme scemes that allow the information within the poem to be easily retainable for students. In additon, there is a small section about the subject of the poem providing more information.

If a classroom is learning about poetry during Language Arts, then the lesson can be extended and integrated into Science through Sidman's book Ubiquitous.
